About The Club
Sydenham Squash is a small friendly club with two squash courts. So whether you are thinking of taking up squash or racketball for the first time, or are already a seasoned player, you can be sure of a warm welcome.
Membership
Membership costs just £235 pa inclusive of all court fees, and we accept payment in a single payment by several methods or in instalments by direct debit. Squash club night
Club night is not running at present, but will restart soon. The session usually involves short games and possibly practice drills if more experienced players are available. More…
Squash & racketball leagues
Squash and racketball leagues are run throughout the year and players of all standards are encouraged to join.
Court booking & lights
There are no additional costs for court booking or lights as these are now inclusive in your membership fee.
Squash & racketball coaching
For those wishing to improve their game our qualified coach, James Brownsdon, offers squash and racketball coaching lessons. More information about squash coaching is available on the coaching page
Playing visitors
Members may bring an occasional guest on payment of the visitors fee for a limited number of visits (ie six times a year) before guests are asked to join the club as a playing member. Fees are: £3 for adults and juniors.
Beginners introduction to squash
A short course suitable for beginners as well as anyone who has played before and is now thinking of taking up the sport again. Courses run for 90 minutes, including tuition and practice of skills.
The course, run by a qualified coach, aims to develop basic skills and confidence and enable players to participate in the leagues and get the most out of playing squash at the club.
Participants who go on to join the club to play squash benefit from 20% off their subscription for the first year.
All equipment is provided, but it is essential that you use footwear with non-marking soles.
The course fee is £20.00*.
