At the 2024 China Squash Open, 22-year-old player Zhou Penglin from Hangzhou impressed many with his performance. Making his debut in a professional points-based tournament, he demonstrated resilience and determination against Egyptian player Omar Mosaad. Although he did not advance, his effort and spirit on the court left a lasting impression. Having started playing squash in elementary school and joining the national team in middle school, Zhou has represented China in multiple regional competitions, such as the East Asian and Asian Championships.
