Long before national teams, international tournaments, and Olympic ambitions, a small group of players, coaches, club founders, volunteers, and enthusiasts dedicated themselves to growing the sport—often with limited resources and little recognition.

The Story of China Squash is a new historical series documenting the people, places, and moments that shaped the development of squash in China. Through personal stories, photographs, archives, and first-hand accounts, the project aims to preserve a history that has never been fully told.

From the earliest courts and grassroots leagues to the pioneers who helped build the community, this series will explore how squash found its place in China—and the individuals who made it possible.
