On July 5, 2025, the 32nd Asian Junior Individual Squash Championships concluded in Gimcheon, South Korea. The prestigious event brought together 236 young athletes from 17 countries and regions, competing across eight categories: Boys’ and Girls’ U13, U15, U17, and U19.
Team China sent a 10-player youth delegation to the tournament: Liu Yuanxi, Yin Ziyuan, Tang Chenjie, Zhu Xuanyi, Zhang Yaqi, Yang Nirui, Liang Haochong, Chen Haisong, Cheng Linglu, and Zhang Yuning — proudly representing Chinese squash on the continental stage.
In the Girls’ U13 division, Yin Ziyuan fought fiercely and emerged victorious after a thrilling five-game final, securing China’s first-ever Asian Junior Championship title — a historic milestone for the sport.

A moment of pride for all supporters of Chinese squash.

This is the first time in history that Chinese junior squash players have claimed two medals in the same Asian Championships, reflecting not just breakthrough performances, but years of silent perseverance, growth, and collective belief.
Not Just About Gold – It’s About Effort, Growth, and Hope
While we celebrate the gold medal, what truly matters is the presence of every Chinese athlete who stepped onto the court and gave their all. Whether they reached the podium or battled hard in early rounds, each player contributed to this proud chapter of Chinese junior squash.
Though Asian squash powerhouses like Malaysia, India, Pakistan, and Japan remain dominant, this breakthrough has raised international awareness of China's junior program and inspired countless young players and coaches across the country.
Chinese squash is rising. Every effort counts — and together, we’re building a future full of potential.
