Higher Level, Richer Experience

This year marks a major upgrade for the China Squash Open. The tournament has been elevated from a PSA Silver to a PSA Gold event, extending the competition to six days and introducing an innovative “dual venue” format to enhance the live experience.
The first two rounds (Nov 11–12) will take place at the Diamond Squash Club, while the quarterfinals onward (Nov 13–16) will be staged at the renowned Xian Xia Tennis Center under Jiushi Sports. Each venue will showcase the game’s unique appeal, offering fans a multi-dimensional and immersive viewing experience.

Stronger Lineup, Fiercer Battles

The upgraded status has drawn an even more star-studded field, promising top-tier competition and excitement. A total of 48 professional players from 14 countries and regions have registered.
In the men’s draw, World No. 1 Mostafa Asal (Egypt) and defending champion Mohamed ElShorbagy headline the field. On the women’s side, World No. 2 Hania El Hammamy (Egypt) and defending champion Rachel Arnold (Malaysia) will lead a host of world-class contenders.

Representing China, Li Haizhen and Liu Ziyi have received wildcards to compete alongside the world’s best. Two additional wildcards will be awarded through a series of three qualifying tournaments. With top athletes clashing in fast-paced rallies and tactical exchanges, fans can look forward to witnessing squash at its finest—up close and personal.

More Options, More Memories

As Shanghai’s annual squash festival, this year’s event not only maintains its high organizational standards but also introduces a wider variety of ticketing options to attract more spectators.
For the first two rounds, day and evening sessions will be sold separately, with tickets starting from RMB 120 to make the event more accessible. From November 13th to 16th, single-day passes will be available, along with VIP box seats and second-level grandstand options.
For the first time, fans can purchase two-day VIP packages or full-event passes that include exclusive player meet-and-greet privileges, offering an unforgettable experience beyond the matches.
In addition, spectators can use “Enjoy Sports Shanghai” vouchers (for event viewing) for partial ticket discounts—making it easier than ever to join the excitement.

A Bright Future for Squash in China

With squash now officially included in the Olympic Games, the sport is experiencing a new wave of growth and enthusiasm.
Last year’s successful return of the China Squash Open at the Oriental Sports Center “Moon Bay” symbolized a strong comeback and a renewed chapter for Chinese squash.
This November, the tournament will once again take center stage in Shanghai—continuing to elevate the city’s sporting landscape and shining as one of its most dynamic athletic showcases.
